2026-10-10 Practiced describing bird poop on my car
My Story — Natural American English
Yesterday, I parked my car under a tree. There were a lot of birds in the tree, and they pooped all over my car. It was so gross!
The tree was also dropping little winged seeds onto my car. They looked like tiny nuts with wings, and I wasn’t sure what they were called. Some people call similar seeds “helicopter seeds.”
The bird poop had already dried, and I really didn’t want to use paper towels or kitchen towels to clean it. I thought a portable pressure washer might work, but I don’t have a hose connection at home or at work.
We talked about other options, including a hand pump sprayer and a cordless pressure washer that draws water from a bucket. The important thing is to soak the dried bird poop first, let it soften, and rinse it away gently without scratching the car’s paint.
